Product Care

All of my products are made from natural fibres mainly wool,  wool does require careful handling when being washed as it can shrink and felt.  Following the guides below will help to eliminate anything untoward happening to your luxury wool items.

Wool and Wool & Cotton Cushions

Cushions should be patted off and fluffed up.

If dirty remove insert and spot clean with a small bead of delicate detergent and cold water. DO NOT scrub, wipe only. if cushion need a full wash either wash in cold water in a sink or bath leaving to soak, a little vinegar can be used to soften fibres. Squeeze excess water and dry flat or on a line

Lambswool scarves and shawls can bet gently washed by hand in a sink or bath using cold water, a gentle wool safe detergent and a little vinegar to soften the fibres.

Scarves and shawls can go on a hand or wool wash on a washing machine but only if the wash is known to be very gentle and the item is in need of a thorough wash.

Linen is a very hardy fibre, however it is best to be gentle with a loose weave.

Linen is naturally stain resistant, but if your linen scarf is dirty or stained it can be washed on a hot wash or in a boiling pot. Leave to soaking for 15 to 20 mins and gently remove or wait until cool then squeezing the fibre not to tangle the fringes.  Linen can should be squeezed not wring out due to creating creases that may not come out easily.  Hang on a line or lay flat to dry.

Linen softens with use and age, however when washing your linen scarf it may feel a bit stiff or rough you can iron it on a hot steam iron to remove creases and soften.  Your linen will be shiny and crisp once more.

Linen can also be Dry Cleaned professionally.
